Senn High School senior Elvir Mujkanovic travelled to Bosnia this summer with his family. His parents fled the war there more than 20 years ago, before settling in Chicago, where Elvir was born.
He’s been to Bosnia before. But for this year’s trip, Elvir took the opportunity to learn more about his ancestral home, and his parents’ journey to America.
