New 400 Hosts 4-20 Scott Pilgrim Online Movie Party

The New 400 Theatre in Rogers Park was good at engaging with customers before the coronavirus outbreak. That hasn’t changed.

The theatre, located at 6746 N. Sheridan, is urging customers to join them for live commentary during a group viewing of “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.”

The 2010 film – a box-office bomb turned cult classic – stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, a slacker musician who must win a competition to get a record deal and battle the seven evil exes of his newest girlfriend, Ramona Flowers, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

According to the New 400 Facebook page, the theatre’s general manager and assistant general manager with offer live commentary on the film.

“Join Jake & Hilary from The New 400 for our LIVE COMMENTARY of SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD tomorrow evening! Mon 4/20 @ 8pm! We’re excited to watch the movie with you!” the Facebook post reads.

Participants are instructed to pull up the movie on Netfilx, then press pause “right at the beginning before anything begins.” Then they should join the live video on the New 400 Facebook page, where everyone will “press play at the same time!”
