Police have alerted citizens of Rogers Park of two recent incidents of aggravated vehicular hijackings. In both incidents, the offenders entered the victim’s parked car and forced occupants from the car, and took the victim’s car.
The first incident occurred in the 2400 block of N. Devon on Wednesday, January 1 at 4:15 p.m. The second incident occurred on the 2700 block of W. Devon on Friday, February 7 at 6:45 p.m.
Police suggest being aware, especially when driving or using a gas station. They also suggest alerting neighbors in the area about these crimes.
