Fast food restaurant Five Guys closed its Rogers Park location.

No official reason was given for the closure. A note posted on the door read simply: “We apologize for the inconvenience, but this location is now permanently closed … We appreciate all the love and business over all the years.”

The restaurant’s general manager told the Loyola Phoenix that their lease had expired after six years, and the company decided not to renew it.

The chain is famous for its award-winning burgers and french fries, as well as serving peanuts in the shell.
