Many music-loving teenagers wait to purchase Lollapalooza tickets when they go on sale in March, spending a pretty penny on one-day or four-day passes. But not many get to see their own art on display at the massive music festival.

A work by Senn High School junior Ana Esquivel is on display at 280 S. Columbus Drive, adjacent to the festival.

Esquivel takes classes at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. And when she was given the opportunity to create artwork that would be displayed at Lollapalooza, she said it was a no-brainer.

“When given the opportunity, you can’t say no,” Esquivel said.

  1. lmao not sure if my comment posted so: the simplistic style works really well for this piece- it reads in a clean, clear-cut manner and even though it’s short, the word choice helps keep it interesting. nice job, and I can’t wait to read more.
