A 47-year-old woman was shot and wounded Wednesday night in West Rogers Park. She was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where she was listed in stable condition.
The woman was found in an alley of 6300 block North Fairfield at approximately 10:46 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the right leg, according to police.
She was unable to give details of the incident, because she appeared “highly intoxicated,” a police spokesperson said.
