14-year-old Boy Charged in Argyle Shooting

A 14-year-old has been charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with an afternoon shooting earlier this week on the Argyle Red Line platform.

The young man was expected to appear in juvenile court today, according to a report  in the Chicago Tribune.

The arrest came after police released images of two people wanted in connection with the shootings, which took place at about 4 p.m. Monday.

Two men, ages 34 and 41, were injured. One was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with wounds to his back, buttocks, abdomen and groin. The other declined treatment after suffered what police described as a graze wound.

Police said both victims were known to the assailants and were targeted in the attack.
