Ald. Joe Moore might be on the way out after 28 years as 49th Ward alderman. But that didn’t stop him from having a little fun this April 1.

Moore offered short notice for a community meeting to discuss a massive development at the corner of Howard and Ashland, dubbed “Howard Yards.”

“The proposal calls for a 20-story residential tower with 330 rental dwelling units, consisting of a mix of studios and one, two and three-bedroom units. If approved by the Chicago Plan Commission and the City Council, the tower will become Rogers Park’s first super tall skyscraper,” Moore’s post on his website said.

He had us going until he named the would-be builder, “Russian developer Boris Badenov.”
