The Glenwood Sunday Market Wine stroll returns to Rogers Park to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Rogers Park Business Alliance.
The market is a farmers market that provides local, sustainably grown produce that are also organic.
It is composed entirely of farmers and food artisans that work in the local food shed on Glenwood Avenue. Their mission is to make sustainable, regionally produced foods accessible to local residents.
Participants can sample more than 60 international wines while walking along the cobblestone art district.
All proceeds go to the Glenwood Sunday Farmer’s Market’s food access programs, which combat food insecurity in the Rogers Park neighborhood by providing $20,000 in grants and vouchers for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) shoppers.The event is sponsored by the Rogers Park Business Alliance, Rogers Park Provisions and Rogers Park Social.
The wine stroll will return on Sunday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
