Loyola University Chicago’s Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha is hosting a vigil for the lives lost in Palestine in collaboration with Loyola’s Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).

Over the past six weeks, 100 Palestinians have been killed and 10,000 have been injured by Israeli troops.

The majority of the casualties happened on Monday, May 14 during protests that broke after the controversial move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The vigil, called “March & Pray for our Lives” will take place tomorrow, May 19, on East 79th St. at noon.
