A small coalition of non-tenure-track faculty voted to ratify a new three-year union contract with Loyola University Chicago, it was announced Friday.

Loyola announced that non-tenure-track faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences and English Language Learning Program voted overwhelmingly to ratify their three-year collective bargaining agreements with Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 73.

The final step is for the university’s board of  trustees to approve the agreements, which Loyola said is expected to occur at the June board meeting.

The agreement will give the 350 unionized faculty, significant pay increases, annual raises and longer appointments.
