Loyola University Chicago’s Sister Jean Delores Schmidt threw out the first pitch at Tuesday’s Chicago Cubs  game, and Loyola journalism alumna Madeline Kenney covered it for the Chicago Sun-Times.

Loyola coach Porter Moser and senior guard Ben Richardson also threw out first pitches.

Sister Jean became a national figure during March Madness when 11th-seeded Loyola made its first Final Four appearance since 1963.
