It’s Getting More Expensive to Rent in Rogers Park

Thinking about renting an apartment in Rogers Park?

Expect to pay more than you might have in the past.

According to a new survey by HotPads, a division of Zillow, the median rent in Rogers Park is $1,679 per month.

That’s 1.8 percent more than it cost to rent an apartment of the same size and quality last year at this time.

Landlords are charging a median rent of  $1,460 per month for a one bedroom,  up 1.4 percent from a year ago.

While apartments are pricier than they were last year, renters have more places to choose between. The number of available units has increased 56.6 percent since March of 2017.

Things could be worse.

HotPads found that the median rent in San Francisco is $4,508.
