Man shot in West Rogers Park

A 33-year-old  man was shot  in an alley in the 6500 block of North Francisco in neighborhood of West Rogers Park at 12:15 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to an anonymous witness who heard the shooting , the victim got in his car and drove away after being asked by the witness if he was okay. He said,   “I’m not OK.”

According to the witness, the victim was approached by another man walking in the alley, and was shot in the chest. Even though he drove himself to the hospital, the wounded 33-year-old was later transferred to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, the police said.

As of right now, the identity of the victim has not been released, and no one has been charged for the shooting.
