Rogers Park was rocking Saturday.
Loyola University Chicago wasn’t ready to end it’s miracle run in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament, knocking off Kansas State to earn a trip to the Final Four in San Antonio.
Fifty-five years after the 1963 Ramblers won the national championship, this year’s team continued to write its own chapter in Loyola history. And they did it with an exclamation point, jumping out to an early lead and never looking back for a 78-62 win.
Loyola now awaits the winner of Kansas and Michigan, and become the fourth 11 seed in NCAA history to make the Final Four.
