A six-hour hostage standoff in Rogers Park ended peacefully Tuesday morning as Chicago Police reported taking one person into custody without incident.

Police SWAT teams poured into the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road at about 9:45 p.m. Monday when a woman reported being held hostage, ABC-7 News reports.
The woman told police she was being held hostage on the third floor of an apartment building, ABC-7 reports.
The incident ended at about 4 a.m. Tuesday when police took one person into custody, ABC-7 said. There were no reported injuries.
