Just another early Spring Thursday turned into a campus-wide celebration, as the Loyola Ramblers scored a thrilling upset in the NCAA Tournament.

Donte Ingram hit the game-winning shot with time running out to secure the win over the 6th seeded Miami Hurricanes. Loyola was an 11-seed, making the win one of the biggest upsets on the first day of the tournament.

Students, faculty and other fans watched at several locations, including the Damen Student Center. And many neighborhood establishments offered food and drink special to attract game-watchers.

Local television stations were also on hand to document the Ramblers’ first March Madness appearance in more than 30 years.

More revelry is expect Saturday, when Loyola takes on third-seeded Tennessee, hoping to move on to the round of 16.

Here are some photos from around campus Thursday.
